Remedial & Sports Massage Therapist
I became a remedial massage practitioner after having been treated with massage following sporting injuries. Having been a competitive sportsman I understand the importance of an effective rehabilitation plan. I am still impressed by the effectiveness of massage & the wide range of conditions it can treat.
I have a Diploma in Remedial Massage from the Northern Institute of Massage. I have studied Medical Massage under Ralph R. Stephens for the cervical region and lower extremities. Ralph is an award winning practitioner and teacher and has written many articles on the subject. I have more recently studied under Art Riggs, covering deep tissue massage and myofascial release. Art is a gifted and world renowned teacher and therapist.
I'm a member of the National Association of Massage and Manipulative Therapists (NAMMT), a professional body set up to represent the interests of professional therapists.
I treat clients of all ages at the Northern Integrative Health Practice in Sacriston or at Meeru Spa and Beauty in Chiltern Moor.
As a remedial massage therapist I assess each problem fully before discussing treatment with the client and coming to a decision. I keep notes about the case with a record of treatment carried out and progress.
